Thomas Grimes, Paralegal

Quick Facts

Name: Thomas Grimes

Job: Paralegal

Offices: Saint Louis, San Diego, and Riverside

Charity: Dogs on Deployment

Motto: “Win the day”

Dog or Cat?: I’m a handful on my own.

Desired Super Power: I would love to be able to fly. Despite having TSA-Pre, I still hate dealing with airports.

Problem I want to solve: Commuting, or traffic in general. It is such a waste of time.

Thomas Grimes grew up in the San Diego area. After graduating from UCLA with a B.A. in Political Science & International Relations, Mr. Grimes moved to the Midwest where he spent four years working on oil and gas drilling rigs. The crew he worked on set the world record for the most footage drilled in one day (7,310’). If the movie Armageddon was real, Mr. Grimes believes he would have been one of the people chosen to fly into space to blow up the asteroid.

Thomas came on as an intern with Bellatrix PC while he obtained his paralegal certificate.  As our paralegal, Mr. Grimes assists our lawyers in preparing for trials, hearings, and closings. A large part of his position consists of conducting legal research and gathering relevant information. He acts as a legal administrative assistant, drafting documents, filing motions, interviewing clients, and preparing retainers.  Mr. Grimes says the best part of his job is advocating for our clients when they are in tough positions.  He is truly an asset to the firm.

When he’s not working, Thomas enjoys going to the gym, working on his car, hiking, playing sports, and fishing.
